The BenQ W2000 DLP Projector is purpose built for accurate colour and a razor sharp picture. With a calibrated cinema mode the W2000 covers the REC.709 colour gamut which is the by the TV, movie and AV industry ensuring you get the colour output the director intended. To produce the vibrant rich colour the BenQ W2000 uses a six segment RGBRGB colour wheel spinning at 6 speed.

Many more basic models will only feature a slower 5 segment colour wheel but this will produce inferior results.

The BenQ W2000 features a 15,000:1 native contrast ratio while the number is lower than some it does not use an iris like some competitors which means you get fast reactions to scene changes from light to dark making it a much more natural transition. For an incredibly sharp picture the W2000 is equipped with an all glass lens easily outperforming plastic competitors.

How Our Projectors Are Designed for Rec. 709

Only displays that conform to Rec. 709 can reproduce colors correctly in all images through an entire movie. While most projector manufacturers choose a saturated color tone bias to increase colorfulness, resulting in color accuracy loss, W2000 achieves the Rec.709 color standard. The process of building a projector includes many variables such as lenses, lamps and color wheel coating.
